A Letter from the Owner
Hey there,
I’m writing this because I think it’s important you know exactly who is steering this ship, and more importantly, how we are steering it.
When I started Daxton, I had all these grand ideas about building the "perfect" company. I thought we’d always make the right calls, never have to compromise, and magically have the endless resources to solve every problem we came across.
Then, reality hit.
The truth is, running a business is hard. It’s noisy, it’s expensive, and it forces you to make tough choices. There have been days where we had to cut corners just to keep the lights on. There have been times we messed up a customer's order, or realized too late that we completely misjudged a situation. We have financial limits, we get tired, and we are imperfect in just about every way you can think of.
For a while, that really bothered me. I felt like a fraud trying to talk about "doing good" when our internal machinery was so obviously flawed.
But then it clicked: If we wait until we are perfect to try and do good, we will be waiting forever. So, this is me drawing a line in the sand. Daxton is a company that keeps it real. We aren't saints, and we aren't superheroes. We are just a group of flawed people who refuse to let our shortcomings stop us from caring.
We are going to fight for change from the inside out. We are going to treat people with grace, we are going to be as generous as our bank account allows us to be, and we are going to take small, gritty steps toward making things better every single day.
We’re going to muddle through it, it’s probably going to look a little messy sometimes, but it will always be honest.
Thanks for giving us the grace to be human.
Cheers,
Juan Alejandro Cho
